One Week International Faculty Development Programme
A One Week International Faculty Development Programme on the theme ‘Methodology of Teaching & Research” was organized by the Baba Farid College of Education, Bathinda from 4th July to 10th July, 2022. Total 14 sessions were conducted by the 14 eminent recourse Personswith an aim to enable faculty from institutions of higher education to act not only as disseminators of knowledge, but as mentors to their students.
Dr. Mangal Singh, Principal, Baba Farid College of Education, Bathinda while addressing the participants emphasised the importance of holistic development and the role every teacher plays in creating a conducive environment for students to be motivated to perform better in life.
The Coordinator of the International FDP, Asst. Prof, Sukhvinder Singh Baba Farid College of Education, Bathinda presented the report of the programme, which witnessed a total of 175 faculty members from across the length and breadth of country took part enthusiastically.
The keynote address on Day 1 was delivered by Mr. B.D. Sharma Deputy Director, Activity and Academics, Baba Farid Group of Institution, Bathinda.

Technical Sessions were conducted on a wide range of topics which included Digitally Enhanced Learning and Teaching assignments, Rediscovering Wisdom in Teaching, Methods and Approaches of Research, How to write a good Research paper, Teaching of Social Science, Brain Based Teachin, Pedagogy of language, Possible Errors in English - Indians are Prone to, Research Proposal Design, Digitally Enhanced Learning and Teaching assignments, Curriculum Development, Proposal and process of financial approval from different funding agencies, research opportunities and collaboration.
Over the One Week the 175 participants connected over virtual network and gave a renewed meaning to 're-engineering the role of teaching community' in a globalised world.
Workshop in Swot Analysis
Baba Farid College of Education Bathinda conducted a one-day workshop for the development of teachers on 22.11.2022. The subject of which was SWOT, introduced by Assistant Professor Harpreet Kumar. All the teachers and students participated in the workshop. This workshop was taken by Dr. Sarabjit Kaur Brar, Head of Department, GHG. Harprakash College of Education, Sidhwa Khurd, Ludhiana. In which teachers were given important information about increasing their work efficiency by balancing their personal life and work area. She explained how personal fears, weaknesses and anxieties in our lives hinder the intellectual and mental development of a person. If a man wants to balance mental development, then he should study himself. In this, it is very important for a person to have knowledge of his achievements, weaknesses and strengths After this, a SWOT test was conducted for the teachers and students and information was given to make a better life by making them aware of their weaknesses and strengths. Finally, Dr. Mangal Singh, the principal of the college, thanked the subject expert, Dr. Sarabjit Kaur Brar.
Workshop on Resume writing and interview skills on May 09, 2022
On May 09, 2022, a workshop on Resume writing and interview skills was conducted at Baba Farid College of Education in which Miss Sanchita Verma HR Assistant (training and placement cell). Has told the students of BA-B.Ed Semester VIII and B.Ed Semester IV how to prepare Resume after completing your course. In it, they said that what qualities should be in your resume? Because from your resume you can be judged without seeing and meeting. At the same time they told about the interview how you have to go to the interview and answer the question and what kind of dress you should have before going to the interview. They told you how to sit and speak At this time questions were also asked by the students, the students asked what is the difference between Resume and CV and how we can create our own resume. Head of the Department Dr. Mangal Singh thanked Miss Sanchita Verma and asked the students to use these skills in their future. All the college staff were present at this time.
BFCE has organized the workshop for Non-teaching staff on 9 April 2021
One day computer literacy workshop was organized for non-teaching staff. Assistant Prof. Harmandeep Kaur has given training on the Microsoft office. MS Office aids in acquiring office level skills and confidence to work at a professional plat form with job Satisfaction. There are all departments' non-teaching staff have participated. Faculty members has gained the knowledge about Microsoft Office and how to use it. This workshop organized by IQAC.
Online workshop on National Education Policy-2020
Baba Farid College of Education conducted a detailed talk on the topic of National Education Policy being an online Microsoft team by R&D Cell under the leadership of Sukhwinder Singh. In which Dr. JD Singh (Associate Professor Gramotthan College of Education, Sangria) was the keynote speaker. In it he said that something new has been added in the new education policy. First he was welcomed by the head of the department Dr. Mangal Singh and then Dr. JD Singh who was participating as the keynote speaker. He started his speech by talking about how the first old policy was written about the common school system and what courses have been abolished in the new policy now. The students listened very carefully and finally the questions Asked | At the same time they compared the new and old policy and told us what are its advantages and disadvantages? At the end he was thanked by the college principal Dr. Pradeep Kaura ji and all the college staff were also present at this time.

R & D cell of Baba Farid college of education has organized One day Workshop for the teaching Staff, on writing and publishing Research Papers was organized in which Dr. Raminder Singh, Professor, Department of Education, Punjabi University, Regional Center, Bathinda has participated as the Chief Resource Person. Meanwhile, Dr. Raminder Singh elaborated on the many techniques, methods of writing, Publishing and Reviewing the research papers and their contribution in the field of Education. In this Workshop, teachers are taught how to write research paper? With this other department faculty members presented there. At the end, Mr.B.D Sharma has thanked the resource person and participants.

A one day workshop on writing ,publishing and peer reviewing of research paper was held at Baba Farid College of Education , Bathinda , On Friday , 12 March 2021. The session started with How to write a good research paper? Difference between academic writing and other writing . The session conducted by Dr. Raminder Singh, Professor , Department of Education ,Punjabi University Regional Center, Bathinda.
Topics : How to write research paper ? How to write abstract ?, Why articles are rejected –views from a reviewer , Tips for effective research paper writing , Journals where you can publish your work and How peer reviewing is important. The lecture was followed by the discussion and a question and answer session .

Workshop on Curriculum Design and Content Development
Sukhvinder Singh, Assistant professor, Baba Farid College of Education, Deon, Bathinda has participated and successfully completed Workshop on Curriculum Design and Content Development organized by Faculty Development Centre, Department of Education and Community Service, Punjabi University, Patiala under the scheme of Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya National Mission on Teachers and Teaching, MHRD, Government of India from 22nd June to 5th July 2019.
National Seminar 'Quality Education in Professional Colleges'

B.Ed. student Baljinder Singh sent an article entitled “Who is responsible for expensive education” to Punjabi Tribune which was Published on 27 April, 2017. He won first Prize for writing such a worthy article. Punjabi Tribune sent him Appreciation Letter as well as Book named “Andh Koop”.

Baba Farid College of Education has always been taking initiatives in various fields like Publishing College Magazine ‘Umang’, Wall Magazine ‘Surkhab’ , Organizing and Presenting Papers by staff & student in various national & international seminars, taking new steps to modern Method and techniques of teaching. It gives Practical Knowledge to its Pupil- Teachers and also motivates them to be familiar with literature. The aim of BFCE is not to produce just formal teachers but the real intellectual gems which can form a noble society. Mr. Kulwinder Singh and Mr. Jagjit Singh Sandhu has taken a very good step in research & Publication.
